14th Bulgarian Film Festival in Prague

“LET YOUR ‘YES’ BE ‘YES,’ AND YOUR ‘NO,’ ‘NO.'”

A sacred truth that is not easy to follow. Our world is not black and white. For example, in Bulgaria, when we nod YES, we do it in a way that means no to people in the Czech Republic and most of the world.

 

We took this well-known and seemingly obvious cultural difference as the basis for the visual identity of the campaign for the 14th Bulgarian Film Festival, organized by the Bulgarian Embassy and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute. For us, it embodies the basis of interpersonal understanding: to understand each other better, we need to know each other better.

 

We need to look at the world through different eyes, perceive and respect the differences between cultures. To meet them and each other. Then our world will cease to be black and white and will begin to play with colors. Especially in the uncertain times of pandemic restrictions, we therefore considered it essential to say a clear Bulgarian YES to the festival held physically in Lucerna, Prague.
